Smoked Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients
- 1 lb block of mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 250°F.
- Cut the mozzarella block into sticks, about 1/2 inch thick.
- In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each mozzarella stick in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a wire rack and let them sit for 10-15 minutes to set.
- Smoke the mozzarella sticks in the preheated smoker for about 45 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the smoked mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce for dipping.
